FLEX worked with a telecommunications company to manufacture four-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs). The company had previously sold its factory to FLEX, and chose to continue working with them due to their exceptional quality of work. FLEX produced connectivity solutions, reviewed PCB designs and conducted final drilling tests, visual inspections, and bench tests. They delivered connectivity modules for buses, electric vehicles, construction equipment, and remote controls for marine platforms. They also assisted in quality inspections for ISO accreditation. The project lasted roughly from 2000 to 2018, with the company investing around $5 million.

In another project, FLEX manufactured simple and multilayered printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for a radiation oncology manufacturer. The challenge was to right-size the FLEX manufacturing footprint and increase spending on components. FLEX had to be robust with soldering and quality requirements due to the vibration control implementation. The relationship was built around the sales aspect, involving a regional manager, quality team and engineering. The company came to work with FLEX due to their industrial reputation and personal experience from a previous job. The project lasted from January 2016 to January 2018, with the company investing around $26 million.
