FLEX successfully completed a project for a telecommunications company that needed help in manufacturing four-layer printed circuit boards (PCB). The project started in the early 2000s and went through various iterations until 2018. FLEX's involvement included reviewing PCB designs, manufacturing four-layer PCBs, conducting final drilling tests, visual inspections, and bench tests. The deliverables included connectivity modules for busses, electric vehicles, construction equipment, and remote controls for marine platforms. FLEX also assisted during quality inspections to review the client's processes when they were getting an ISO accreditation. The client praised FLEX for their exceptional quality of work, which prompted the client to follow them even after they moved production to another site. The project cost around $5 million.

FLEX worked with a radiation oncology manufacturer from January 2016 to January 2018. The client needed to right-size the FLEX manufacturing footprint and increase spending on components due to their mix of low and high volume production. FLEX delivered simple and multi-layered PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) with a vibration control implementation. They ensured robust soldering and high-quality requirements due to the sensitivity of the printed circuit boards to vibration. The client worked closely with a regional manager and the quality team all the way through engineering. The project was a significant investment for the client, costing around $26 million.
