Fifth Beat collaborated with an Ultra Broadband Internet & IP Voice Provider to create an Intranet App for desk and meeting room booking. The project was executed from January to April 2018 and aimed to facilitate a seamless transition into new premises without designated office spaces. The company chose Fifth Beat due to their expertise in UX and Digital Employee Experience. The project involved surveys, workshops with employees and developers, and user testing, which led to the successful delivery of the app's wireframe. Approximately four or five people from Fifth Beat's team worked on this project, with Raffaele leading the project.

The company also worked with an international publisher of newspapers and magazines to redesign their news app. The project involved user research activities such as initial discovery research focused on Personas development and a round of usability testing on the app prototype. The goal was to understand the needs and behaviors of the readers to increase app adoption and engagement. Fifth Beat was chosen for their expertise in the media/publishing sector and their knowledge of qualitative user research methodology. The team conducted 14 moderated user interviews, which resulted in the development of Personas, a document with the most important insights, and a codebook with transcriptions of the most interesting quotes from user interviews. The research led to the decision to develop certain features like a recommendation engine based on user interests and bookmark and notification features.

Lastly, Fifth Beat was hired by a leading European manufacturer and distributor of lawnmowers and power garden equipment to redesign their website. The project focused on the UX and UI project behind the redesign, and additional UX analysis on the consumer journey and some new website features development. The company chose Fifth Beat for their professionalism, international profile, and good English skills. The project involved a discovery phase mapping requirements, brand values, data analysis based on analytics tools, a UX and UI study, approval and test of all the basic functionalities of the new website, and the launch of the new website in all 13 countries. The team consisted of around 10 people, including Raffaele Boianno, CEO & Co-founder, Francesco Vetica, Head of Design, Antonello Reale, QA Tester, and Stefano Bussolon, UX UI qualitative tests coordinator.
