Highlights from Recent Projects
Fastspot undertook a major redesign of a university's primary website, a project that lasted from February 2017 to February 2018. The company interviewed various groups on campus to create a creative brief, which was revised multiple times to fine tune the objectives, target audience, and success metrics. They developed a functional requirements document, a content strategy style guide, and SEO recommendations. They also presented two design concepts, and once one was chosen, it went through further revisions. They developed the site, including additional features such as a newsroom and event calendar. Fastspot also fixed any bugs or technical issues that arose post-launch.
The company was hired by Big Huge Games, a mobile game developer, to revamp their website. The project ran from September 2017 to February 2018. Fastspot provided suggestions on how to organize the site, did the layout, coding, and QA, and incorporated feedback throughout the process. They used their platform, BigTree CMS, and also did the frontend design work. They integrated a third-party HR provider so that job recruiting was connected directly to the website.
Fastspot was hired by Bucknell University to redesign their website from the ground up. The project started in May 2013. The company was involved in the site’s whole creative development, including offering and amending concepts, turning those concepts into an information architecture, turning that information architecture into a design, and then bringing the design to life. They also worked on the content and material needed to flush out the design. The website was built around what the users need, and Fastspot came up with an A to Z directory to make the search process more efficient.
