ExeLance IT was hired by IGX Solutions Corp, a company that specializes in customizing grants management and government workflow software solutions, to create a companion app. The goal of the app was to provide core functionality like application tracking, document uploads, workflow approvals, and real-time notifications while adhering to strict security and compliance standards. ExeLance IT was chosen for this project due to its competitive pricing, cultural fit, and value for cost. A team of 2-5 employees was assigned to the project and they developed both iOS and Android versions of the app using a cross-platform framework. This approach helped to reduce costs and time. The app included features such as offline mode, integration with existing APIs, a user interface that reflected the brand, admin-level settings, and permission control. Additionally, they provided technical documentation, app store deployment assistance, and a training session for the internal support staff. Throughout the project, ExeLance IT recommended improvements such as optimizing data entry forms for thumb navigation and minimizing redundant user input across modules.
