Exception

Exception was hired by the Harris Tweed Authority (HTA) to execute a digital transformation. The HTA is a statutory body responsible for promoting and maintaining the standards of Harris Tweed, a handwoven cloth from the Outer Hebrides. The project's goals included a phased migration from legacy tools to a secure, integrated cloud ecosystem, leveraging AI for brand protection, and exploring the concept of "Digitally Certified Tweed". Exception was chosen for their budget-friendly pricing and cultural fit. The team of 2-5 employees from Exception worked on establishing a Cloud Document Management System, an Interactive Brand and Query Agent, an Inspection and Meterage Management App and an email Monitor and CRM. These initiatives were designed to enhance the organization's scalability, audit readiness, and cross-team collaboration. The project successfully digitized the HTA's core administrative, cloth certification, and communication functions, streamlining operations and enhancing transparency.
