Highlights from Recent Projects
Everest Consulting was engaged by Bike2020.com and Sup2020.com to modernize their Ruby on Rails websites to the Java platform. The websites, which are subscription-based and list inventories for stores and manufacturers in the paddleboard surfing and cycling industry, needed to be updated for expansion and security reasons. Everest Consulting was recommended by a graphic designer in Germany and was trusted to complete the project in a timely manner. The project, which cost under $25,000, was completed in 10 weeks and the updated site went live by mid-December 2016. The client was pleased with the results and has since cloned the site for a second platform.
3Discovered, a company that helps clients convert traditionally manufactured parts into 3D printable ones, hired Everest Consulting for software development and platform construction. The integrated platform, which was built for under $200,000, processes 3D designs, stores files in a structured database, and works with e-commerce tools. The platform was designed to be used by manufacturers and asset managers, who can upload designs and have them printed. The project started in September/October 2016 and is still ongoing, with Everest Consulting expected to move onto a different project in the near future.
Everest Consulting was contracted by an IT consulting firm specializing in intellectual property to improve their software quality and maintain their data system. The firm, which had previously worked with Everest Consulting, also sought their expertise in patent research and data quality checks, as well as algorithmic development. The software stack used for the project included Java, J2EE on Tomcat, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL Server, and HTML and JavaScript for the frontend interfaces. The project, which started in the Fall of 2012, was completed in the Fall of 2015.
