eSentire

eSentire was hired by an alternative investment management company to provide managed security services. The project involved three main services: endpoint security, vulnerability scans, and intrusion prevention. The endpoint security tool, installed on all desktops and servers, protected against malicious activity, viruses, and malware. eSentire managed the service by examining alerts and escalating issues when necessary. The second service involved conducting vulnerability scans and providing reports to help the client understand what needs to be remedied. The third service was intrusion prevention, where eSentire monitored network traffic to proactively block malicious connections. The client has a dedicated customer success manager, sales representative, and subject matter experts for each of the three services. The engagement, which started in January 2016, costs the client approximately $150,000–$200,000 annually. The client appreciated the smooth transition and flexibility provided by eSentire, and they continue to work together.
