Highlights from Recent Projects
Equinox IS was hired by a mobile-only neobank based in Sydney to build their core transaction processing infrastructure and work on various data-related projects. The team, composed of a lead engineer, two senior software engineers, a business analyst, and a tester, was tasked with integrating a vendor's fraud prevention system, aggregating financial data, generating reports, overseeing marketing technology, and defining the data strategy. The result was a functional core system that supported the bank's operational and financial activities.
Conservation Diver, a coral reef research organization, hired Equinox IS to revamp their unusable Ruby on Rails database. After two failed attempts with other freelancers, Equinox IS successfully converted the database into Java, recovered 14 years of back data, created a user-friendly UI, and developed an Excel export function for various reports. The project was handled by Daniel P., who also provided advice on the next steps. The outcome was a functional, easy-to-use database that met the organization's needs.
Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH, a telecom company, engaged Equinox IS for Big Data Analytics and Pipelines. The goal was to replace a legacy vendor solution with a new open-source one and build a proof of concept for the network use case. Equinox IS, working with data engineers and data scientists, was involved in the churn open-source replacement and the network planning use cases. The result was a successful Agile transformation and the identification of several new Big Data-related use cases.
