ENTech Solutions was hired by the co-founder and managing director of SpaBooker to build the prototype of a system that would later become Booker Software. The goal was to demonstrate the viability of a web-based scheduling, CRM, and POS system in an industry dominated by desktop applications. ENTech's team, initially consisting of a product/project manager, a technical lead, and three engineers, expanded to 21 individuals as the project progressed. They successfully developed the product specifications, defined the MVP, and created the UI/UX for the user-facing interface. They also designed an API for integrating the scheduling system into other systems and websites, deployed the infrastructure to support the new systems, and designed the release process for the new systems. By the end of 2012, the platform had captured over 60% of the market share in the spa industry, proving the project's success.
