Emproto Technologies was hired by a specialty retail chain to develop an e-commerce platform. The client, initially a brick-and-mortar store, wanted to expand into the online market. Emproto developed a mobile-responsive website along with native Android and iOS apps for the client. The platform was built to accommodate the unique needs of the client's business, which sells products not by units, but by weight. Emproto custom-built the backend to manage the inventory of the client's diverse product range. The project, which started in January 2020, was briefly put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic but was completed in September. The total cost of the project was around $10,000. With the basic website structure and e-commerce functionalities in place, the client is now focusing on building their marketing engine.
