Empower HR

Empower HR was engaged by an acquisition company to replace their professional employee organization (PEO) and provide comprehensive HR services. The acquisition company lacked an HR department and was seeking a partner that could offer full staff support, accessibility, and an HR manager for on-site visits as needed. Empower HR was also tasked with improving the client's payroll service to cater to its diverse workforce consisting of hourly and salaried personnel, interns, and apprentices.

Empower HR's involvement included risk management, compliance, administration, payroll, and employee benefits services. They effectively functioned as the client's HR department, managing their healthcare affiliates and working closely with the CFO on payroll matters. They supplied a benefits administrator to evaluate employee benefits and reduce costs. Additionally, they improved the client's investments and 401K program. Empower HR also took on recruiting responsibilities through a solution called Werkberry, which handled job description creation, candidate sourcing and screening, and interview scheduling. They trained the client's internal leadership team on conducting interviews and employee training. They also updated and created policy manuals, maintained the employee handbook, onboarded new employees, and supported grant applications.

The team from Empower HR consisted of an account manager who coordinated the project, an HR specialist, and a benefits administrator. The partnership, which began in June 2021, is ongoing and has been beneficial for the acquisition company. The client appreciated Empower HR's comprehensive HR services, which have greatly alleviated their administrative burden.
