Highlights from Recent Projects
Electric Pearl Productions, formerly known as Headlands Studio, was hired by a creative agency based in Rochester, New York to film interviews and B-roll for a short documentary series. The project was based in Seguin, Texas, and due to COVID-19 restrictions, the agency needed a local production partner. The Electric Pearl Productions team, led by co-founders Sally and Jennell, conducted the interviews and captured drone footage, repeating the process multiple times to provide the agency with a variety of clips to choose from. The footage was then delivered to the agency for in-house editing. The project lasted from October to November 2021 and the agency invested $20,000 in the project.
Electric Pearl Productions also worked with a non-profit organization called Truth Be Told, which provides programs for incarcerated women and supports them upon their release. The non-profit needed a short video to increase their visibility in the community and share their story. Despite administrative red tape and logistical challenges, the Electric Pearl Productions team was able to film classes and interview program participants within the prison. They also followed a program graduate throughout her day, capturing her experiences and challenges. The engagement lasted from June 2019 to May 2020 and resulted in shorter promo videos for a fundraising event and a longer promo video for the non-profit's website. The videos were an in-kind contribution to the non-profit, valued at $1,500.
Finally, Electric Pearl Productions was hired by Foley Family Wines to create video content for the introduction of a new premium whiskey brand. The team was tasked with directing, casting, and producing both long and short-form video content. The project was centered around a location shoot at a working cattle ranch in West Texas. The CMO of Foley Family Wines found Electric Pearl Productions through a referral and chose them for their competitive pricing, culture fit, and strong recommendation. The project team consisted of 2-5 employees from Electric Pearl Productions.
