Highlights from Recent Projects
Eastern Peak was hired by a software development company that specializes in video applications for mobile and web. The company had an existing mobile application written in React Native and was unhappy with the application and the developers. Eastern Peak was brought in to rewrite the application to be entirely native. They provided frontend developers for iOS, Android, and React for the web, while the company provided the backend and APIs. The engagement was so successful that Eastern Peak was given additional work, including writing a new application from scratch and developing a web interface. The company invested about $100,000 in the project, which began in July 2019 and is still ongoing with a roadmap planned for the next two years.
Eastern Peak was hired by RYDE, a transport company and subsidiary of Toyota Israel, to build a mobile application. The goal of the project was to address challenges in the old system and implement them perfectly in the new system. Eastern Peak took the project from start to finish, building infrastructure for the mobile application, a system of settings for managing UI screens in the application, and applications for two stores. The project utilized technologies such as NodeJS, Android & Flutter for mobile UI, React & Node JS for management system, AWS for cloud, and PostgreSQL for database. The team consisted of three full stack developers, two mobile developers, and one QA.
Eastern Peak was hired by an online art community to develop an app that functions as an extension of their website. The goal was to expand the business to incorporate a TV brand that wanted to partner with them. The app, based in Android, includes a curated stream of content from the platform using their API. The project was approached in two phases: a screensaver and the real app that can be downloaded on a TV. The real app allows users to do different things with the content, such as browsing by category or saving favorite items. The project lasted from May 2019 to January 2020 and cost around $70,000–$80,000.
