Highlights from Recent Projects
DS Stream was hired by Sportside, a sports matching platform, to migrate their databases and implement business intelligence and data warehousing. The goal was to make the databases scalable for over 2 million users and to achieve visibility across all data. DS Stream's team, which consisted of two Cloud Data Specialists, a team leader and a project manager, devised creative solutions and implemented advanced data solutions within Sportside's AWS infrastructure. This made Sportside's stack more cost-effective and simplified complexity.
In another project, DS Stream provided consulting services to a sports analytics company. They were tasked with providing guidance and implementation of workflow scheduling service for multiple data processing pipelines. The team, which was composed of a project manager and two other members, recommended and implemented a powerful open-source tool developed by a high-traffic online marketplace. This project, which cost less than $10,000, was completed between July and August 2019.
DS Stream also worked with a consultancy firm which provides a range of services and solutions in Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence platforms. The project involved providing configuration and environment setup in a private cloud for data from CRM and medical sources. The team of four used a variety of tools including AWS, Triton, Oracle, Airflow, Hive, Hue, Sqoop, Docker, S3, EC2, and Scala to develop an application in the private cloud. DS Stream's data engineering project allowed machine learning analysis and the creation of models to predict customer behavior.
