Dot Com Development was contracted by a manufacturing company to replace an existing handheld meter with a mobile app. The company, which operates in the mining and oil and gas industries, worked closely with Dot Com Development to design and develop the app. The app, which connects to a handheld reader to measure the clamping force of a machine's bolts, stores data and notes to manage maintenance cycles. It also allows users to compare measurements over time and generate basic reports. Although the app has been built for both iOS and Android, the iOS version is not yet live due to changes in recognized Bluetooth technology. The project, which cost $90,000, was initiated in July 2022 and the app was released in May 2023. Dot Com Development will continue to provide support and updates for the app.
