Dolphin Micro

Dolphin Micro partnered with Golf Pipeline, a company that offers an online platform for golfers to organize and manage their games. The initial challenge was to create a scalable, transactional website that would cater to individual golfers as well as software providers within the golfing industry. Dolphin Micro was responsible for all the back-end development, database configuration, and API connections. The technology primarily used was Ruby on Rails and MySQL. The project was completed on time and under budget, with an initial cost of around $50,000. The successful completion of the first phase led to further collaborations, with a total investment of around $200,000 to $250,000. The relationship with Dolphin Micro is ongoing and satisfactory.

May Designs, an e-commerce stationery company, engaged Dolphin Micro for a complete overhaul of their web development. The company needed a more robust system and Dolphin Micro served as their entire web development team, handling everything from front-end work to back-end overhauls. They also built the back-end software to connect to Instagram and upload images. The collaboration started in May 2012 and has since been phased out as May Designs brought on their own in-house technical team.

Dolphin Micro collaborated with an education startup to develop a web and mobile education platform. The company lacked strong technical leadership and capacity, and Dolphin Micro stepped in to provide back-end functional development and testing. The partnership lasted for about four years, with an investment of around $300,000. The collaboration has since scaled back as the education startup has built a strong internal tech team. Dolphin Micro now serves in a support and advisory role.
