Dock was contracted by an electrical accessories retailer to develop a reliable and user-friendly e-commerce platform enabling customers to easily browse products and place orders without hassle. This online store was aimed to be the centrepiece of the company's operations, managing product listings, orders, and customer inquiries. Dock’s main task was to create an online store that could effectively present the retailer's product catalogue and facilitate future sales growth in a scalable manner.

Dock was selected for their advantageous location, budget-friendly pricing, strong culture fit, and value for cost. The project was undertaken by a team of 2-5 Dock employees. They were tasked with designing the structure of the store, creating product categories, key pages, and crafting a smooth shopping cart and checkout process. Other key deliverables included making the site mobile-friendly and developing tools for managing products and orders on the platform.

In conclusion, the retailer commendably referred to Dock’s work on the development of the online store. The company not only received an operational, efficient online platform but, more importantly, an e-commerce website that is set up to comfortably handle their future growth prospects. The retailer is now able to sell products online and manage all aspects of the business in one place, thus validating Dock's qualitative and valuable work.
