Highlights from Recent Projects
Diversity Works was contracted by a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the Amazon Rainforest to provide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training for their staff. The company was chosen due to its high ratings, proximity, affordability, and shared values. Diversity Works designed a four-hour, in-person training session tailored to the organization's needs, which included prep calls and a review of existing DEI materials. The materials used during the training were also provided to the organization afterward.
In a project with a legal advertising company, Diversity Works provided business consulting services. The company had experienced significant growth and needed assistance with their business strategy. Diversity Works developed a roadmap with action steps for hiring goals, training plans, and other company aspects. The team also provided training for the company’s staff. The collaboration lasted from October 2023 to February 2024, with an investment of around $1,500 per month.
Diversity Works was engaged by the Northern Nevada Veterinary Practice Managers Association for a project aimed at enhancing human resources management education and boosting recruitment and retainment. The team facilitated a workshop for area veterinarians and hospital practice managers, providing industry-specific data and insights. They also offered a glimpse into what job hunters were seeking, which assisted in adjusting recruitment strategies. The project resulted in a consensus to promote Nevada's employment and lifestyle benefits to technically trained professionals from out of state, in an effort to address the high demand and sparse skilled labor force in the veterinary community. Diversity Works' recommendations were well-received and expected to help reduce compassion fatigue, poor retention, and burnout.
