Highlights from Recent Projects
dFusion Tech, Inc. engaged with ScoopDragon Publishing, a company that manages a network of football news aggregation sites. The project involved migrating the news aggregation sites to a new server and additional development in multiple areas. dFusion Tech developed the proprietary software architecture for the network of football sites in 2006, which was used to power the website and launch over 50 strong networks of news sites. The software updates every few minutes and is powered by RSS feeds checked for each team. dFusion Tech also helped build mobile sites for the entire website, resulting in 80% of traffic becoming mobile. They also built iOS and Android apps for some team websites. In 2014, they redeveloped the software due to security concerns and added features for more platform flexibility. The company continues to provide day-to-day maintenance and ongoing development.
dFusion Tech, Inc. worked with Affinity Media, a web publishing and virtual reality company, to develop an online video platform for WorldTV.com. The platform allowed users to create their own linear-style TV channel built out of clips posted on YouTube, Vimeo, or any other popular online video sites. Users could build their own library of favorite video clips, create playlists, and brand their channels. The backend was PHP, and the frontend was a combination of Flash, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The system was built to live stream from a mobile phone, which was considered innovative in 2007. The platform scaled to millions of users. dFusion Tech still maintains the platform, although it is now considered to be on life support due to changes in business focus. The engagement has been ongoing since 2007.
