Highlights from Recent Projects
DevRecords was contracted by Oasis HUB, an environmental data portal, to develop a reliable, scalable, and modular portal. The portal was designed to be user-friendly for both data providers and consumers. DevRecords provided full-stack development services and managed the entire project. They offered feedback on design, developed and tested the apps, and deployed them. They continue to provide ongoing management, including all of the underlying AWS infrastructure. The project team consisted of two developers, a designer, a tester, and a project manager. The team's composition was occasionally expanded to expedite delivery.
In another project, DevRecords was subcontracted by a full-service software development agency to provide team augmentation. The agency, despite having 40 engineers, needed additional manpower to handle extra work. DevRecords developed frontend work for a third-party and helped speed up development when the agency's engineers had an overflow of work. They started by building a WordPress portal and worked with the agency's engineer to follow a technical specification document. The team from DevRecords was responsible for writing production-ready code, providing progress reports, and delivering time reports.
DevRecords was also hired by the founder of a ketogenic diet app to develop a cross-platform mobile application MVP using Flutter for both iOS and Android, with Firebase as a backend. The app tracks food macronutrients such as net carbs, protein, and fats and integrates two APIs for food search. It also features basic user profiling and user weight tracking. The project team consisted of a project manager, a developer, and the client. They communicated daily via Skype and agreed on three sprints to finish the MVP, adding another sprint for additional functionality.
