DevDimensions was hired by The Vacation Calendar, LLC to modernize their website and develop applications for Apple and Google. The company was chosen due to its competitive pricing, cultural fit, and value for cost. A team of 6-10 employees from DevDimensions worked on the project. The scope of work included auditing the legacy PHP site, designing a new system architecture, redesigning the frontend and backend, rebuilding core functions, integrating subscriptions and monetization, creating a vacation approval workflow, testing, and deploying the new site. Additionally, the team designed and developed mobile applications for iOS and Android, supporting all core features except admin tools.

The project was a success, resulting in a modernized website and new mobile applications. The team at DevDimensions was able to identify pain points, technical debt, and user limitations in the existing architecture, and developed a scalable, modular web application in response. The redesigned interface is responsive and easy to use, and the rebuilt core functions include account and role management, a vacation calendar and room booking system, support for multiple homes and room-level scheduling, and more. The new mobile apps, connected to the Apple Payment system for in-app subscriptions, support booking, photos, blogs, guides, and guest functionality. The project was completed with a full transition from the legacy site to the new production environment.
