Highlights from Recent Projects
DesignRepublic was hired by Holy Berry, a Belgium-based company that imports and develops products based on the Açai berry, to rebrand their two core products. The goal was to redesign and optimize the current packaging. DesignRepublic reviewed the overall branding of the company and the products, proposed design routes, organized a photo shoot, created a brand book, and designed the packaging. The project was managed directly by the manager and a second designer.
In another project, DesignRepublic was selected by Bidon Coffee & Bicycle, owners of an espresso bar & cycling shop in Gent, for the launch of a new coffee product. The objective was to create a cold brew black coffee and a flat with oat milk in a can to reduce the workload in summer times for the coffee bars and to sell in retail as a coffee in a can is not yet in supermarkets in Belgium. DesignRepublic created the brand, the first packaging of the two cans, and assisted with the idea of the website and e-commerce. The project was handled by the two owners of the company, Murtaza & Francis, and they worked with freelance and fixed team creative directors to make different options of the cans.
DesignRepublic was also hired by a new food startup in Belgium for branding and packaging design. The goal was to position their new range of products in relation to the competition, work on a name and a brand universe, and offer packaging consistent with their values, potential customers, and distribution networks. After a series of discussions and presentations, DesignRepublic finalized the logo, general design, product photography, and delivered the films for printing. The project was managed by Francis, Murtaza took care of the creative part, and Evelien did the execution.
