DesignDiverso was hired by Humble Hearts Caregivers, an organization providing personalized home care services, with the goal of replacing their existing EMR system with a custom platform. Aimed at easing administrative workload and enhancing efficacy over several processes such as scheduling, payroll, caregiver management, and reporting, DesignDiverso was chosen for the task for its cost-effective pricing and culture match.
The task involved managing the entire design and implementation of a custom EMR system. Starting with discovery, workflows analysis and UX research, DesignDiverso understood the needs of administrators, caregivers, and daily operations. Deliverables included a centralized system for various tasks such as patient and caregiver management, plans of care, payroll workflows and compliance tracking. Additional features provided were related to system security such as access controls, audit logging and session management.
DesignDiverso succeeded in developing a custom, operational platform, replacing the standard EMR system. The platform is designed considering the workflows of Humble Hearts Caregivers, thus proving to be cost-efficient and aligning well with the culture of the caregiving organization. As a result, the platform efficiently manages patient and caregiver data, systematizes administrative tasks and strengthens data visibility, reliability, and compliance.
