Design3 GmbH completed an impressive project for Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, a telecommunications company. The challenge was to create a premium industrial and eco-friendly design for a high-end WiFi gateway with xDSL and fiber access. Telefónica Germany also required assistance with sustainable product design and cost efficiency. After analyzing and evaluating the sustainable product developments for home hardware, Design3 GmbH proposed effective design solutions.
Once the proposals were approved, Design3 GmbH cooperated with vendors to achieve a workable construction, performed tooling evaluation, and navigated the sample approval process. Additionally, they implemented a Braille user guidance system. The team demonstrated adaptability by taking full responsibility for packaging design and industrialization, managing all areas fully towards the vendor until the product launch, supported by Telefónica's product management team.
Working with Design3 GmbH was a productively collaborative experience that lasted from October 2024 to February 2026. The team's size changed flexibly between 2 and 5 members. One significant aspect of this partnership was the alignment of company values, as well as the adherence to the project budget and time-to-market.
