DEPT®

DEPT® worked with a US Department of Energy's national laboratory on software enhancement and maintenance for a renewable energy lab. The team at DEPT® was tasked with developing a custom widget and addressing software issues for a web-based geometry creation and editing software. The senior software developer from a previous engagement with the same company was part of the team to ensure consistency and familiarity with the technology. The project started in June 2021 and is ongoing with an investment between $500,000–$1 million. The client chose DEPT® again for this project due to their consistent delivery of high-quality work.

In another project, DEPT® was hired by an energy laboratory to develop web applications, APIs, and other software-related tools. The team at DEPT® worked alongside the client's internal researchers and developers, providing a range of support from high-level UX design, customer reviews, issue tracking, external communications, task planning, running scrums, and coding/software engineering. The team consisted of a senior developer and a junior developer. The client chose DEPT® for their consistent delivery of high-quality work.

DEPT® also worked with a Title Services Company to develop a mobile application. The team at DEPT® worked with the client to brainstorm the best plan for the app, map out workflows for buyers and sellers, and design the app. The team consisted of a project manager, a project designer, and a UI manager. The client chose DEPT® because of the team's approachable nature and their ability to understand the client's needs. The project involved creating seven screens for building the app in the future or using them to raise VC funds.
