Datamum

Datamum was commissioned by a large automotive corporation to develop statistical models for different areas of its automotive products. The aim was to improve inventory efficiency, increase turns, and ultimately, improve profits. A key part of this project was the validation of data models, a task given to Stephanie Thompson, the owner of Datamum, due to her extensive knowledge of the automotive industry. She determined that the initial models provided by SPSS were not valid and recommended more robust data capture. The project, which was a significant undertaking involving three to four people from SPSS over three months, was completed earlier this year to the client's satisfaction.

In another project, Datamum worked with a major public university in Tennessee on a project known as SETE (Student Evaluation of Teaching Effectiveness). Stephanie Thompson played a crucial role in analyzing data collected from students about their experiences in courses and how the instructors performed. She used SAS technology to create detailed reports for individual faculty members, departments, and the college as a whole. The project, which was not costly due to existing infrastructure and software, was completed successfully several years ago and has been in place since then. The client noted Stephanie's efficiency, automation skills, and ease to work with as key factors in the project's success.
