Highlights from Recent Projects
DataMade collaborated with the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC Chicago), a national nonprofit, to design and develop a website. The website was created to help residents determine which city-owned vacant lands were eligible for purchase under a new program. DataMade also incorporated an application function to facilitate the land-purchasing process. The website included an admin interface for city employees to evaluate applicants. The team at DataMade, led by founder Derek, has been providing ongoing maintenance and updates since 2014. The client has expressed satisfaction with DataMade's responsiveness and the quality of their work.
DataMade partnered with the Institute for Housing Studies at DePaul University to make web-based data more accessible and engaging. They designed and developed various microsites with user-friendly interfaces. One notable creation was an interactive map displaying the diversity of housing stock in Chicago. Other microsites included data indicators requiring routine updates, such as a house price index visualizing 33 different submarkets.
