Highlights from Recent Projects
DataMade was engaged by the Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC Chicago), a national nonprofit supporting community development efforts, to build a website for a program allowing residents to purchase vacant city-owned land. The website was designed to provide information on eligible slots for purchase. DataMade not only designed and developed the initial version of the website, but they also incorporated an application function for the land-purchasing program and an admin interface for city employees. The firm has been maintaining and updating the website since 2014, demonstrating a successful and ongoing partnership.
The Institute for Housing Studies at DePaul University sought the services of DataMade to make their web-based data more user-friendly. DataMade was responsible for both the design and development of intuitive interfaces for various microsites. One of their standout creations was an interactive map showcasing the diversity of housing stock in Chicago. They also developed project-specific microsites serving as data tools accessible through the main sites, including a house price index visualizing 33 different submarkets. DataMade recently redesigned the entire website and data portal of the Institute, indicating their continued and successful collaboration since 2014.
