Cyber Defense Group

The Cyber Defense Group provided cybersecurity and Security Operations Center (SOC) services to a personalized products platform. As their cybersecurity consulting team, they served as an escalation point for incident response, conducted security maturity assessments, managed SOC services, and supplied anti-malware software. The engagement, which started in January 2021, has seen an investment of around $500,000 and is still ongoing.

In another project, Cyber Defense Group conducted a cybersecurity audit for PacketFabric, a Network-as-a-Service company. The goal was to evaluate Unitas Global's security program and assist in meeting SOC2 and ISO-27001 compliance standards. The group performed internal audits prior to external audits for SOC2 Type 2 and ISO-27001. Key deliverables included a detailed internal audit report, internal risk assessment, mandatory compliance-related activities such as tabletop exercises, and assistance in revising and creating security controls and processes.

For Riva Health, a healthcare company, Cyber Defense Group established a security program and helped the company become HIPAA compliant. The group outlined high-level HIPAA requirements, mapped them to a set of deliverables, and tracked progress through weekly meetings. They worked alongside the company's engineers to deliver and review code and software solutions, and reviewed over 20 company policies to ensure they covered all necessary bases. The Cyber Defense Group continues to provide cybersecurity assistance for Riva Health's FDA submission.
