Custom D

Custom D was hired by Provident Insurance Limited to develop the frontend of an insurance platform. The project aimed to create a custom website interface that allows dealerships and brokers to connect to APIs. The team from Custom D, which included around eight members, expanded the project's scope to add more functionalities, coding in PHP with the Laravel framework and providing infrastructure support for AWS. The engagement, which began in March 2023, is ongoing and so far has cost between $1,800–$2,400 USD.

In a separate project, Custom D was brought on board by a software company to migrate their on-premise servers to a cloud-based solution. The company wanted to leverage Amazon's reliability and brand name, and so Custom D helped them migrate their servers into AWS. The team from Custom D is also expected to provide ongoing support for database management, development, and deployment. The project, which started in February 2024, is ongoing and has cost approximately $24,000 USD.

Custom D was also engaged by the Foundation for Arable Research to develop an AI tool for their website. The tool was designed to search documents on the website and provide citations or links to the source of information. The project required careful framing of information to avoid it being interpreted as advice or a recommendation. The team from Custom D, which included 6-10 employees, successfully developed and launched the AI tool on the FAR website.
