Curlscape

Curlscape was hired by ScanGeni Ventures Pvt Ltd, an AI-first company that owns the brand "Food Scan Genius", to enhance the user experience on their app. The project's main objectives included providing a natural language interface for users to answer questions, enabling product scanning and querying, facilitating photo-based product searches, and creating a chat feature for queries on food allergies, product substitutes, and purchase locations. Curlscape was chosen for their high ratings, location, budget-friendly pricing, culture fit, and alignment with company values. The project was successfully completed by a single Curlscape employee.

The scope of work involved building an AI agent capable of converting natural language questions into MongoDB queries. The backend of the application was implemented in Python, leveraging robust frameworks for query parsing and execution. The application was hosted and integrated on a virtual machine on Microsoft Azure. The team utilized Azure OpenAI and Llama (Groq) models for natural language processing, LLM-based query interpretation, and response generation. APIs were also developed for integration into the application.

The feedback received from ScanGeni Ventures Pvt Ltd was positive, with the company expressing satisfaction with the high-quality work delivered by Curlscape. The project resulted in an enhanced user experience on the Food Scan Genius app, with users now able to interact more intuitively and get quick, accurate responses to their queries. The project was deemed a success, demonstrating Curlscape's expertise in AI consulting and application development.
