ConnectPoint was engaged by a utility company to build a comprehensive digital enterprise platform with ERP and IoT components. Their task was to enable the client to serve its customers and employees better and facilitate its SmartCity initiative backed by the EU/Horizon SPARCS Funding. The vendor was chosen based on their extensive development experience and agility in the SCRUM environment. The work involved developing frontend and microservice backends, and IoT services, as well as ensuring 24/7 operations. A team of around 30 individuals, including a CTO, Scrum Masters, a Product Owner, and Developers, was assigned to this project.
An ecological company hired ConnectPoint to develop a customized app that would present real-time data. The team at ConnectPoint built the app using the Java framework and ensured seamless real-time data management even with massive data influx. They also interfaced this data with a geographical information system (GIS), thereby linking multiple maps. Apart from this, they developed a dispatcher operations dashboard. The team that worked on this project comprised 4-5 developers. The partnership, which started in October 2014, was the result of ConnectPoint winning a public competition organized by the ecological company and spanned over five years until April 2020.
