Highlights from Recent Projects
Commit was engaged by a broadcast media company to modernize one of their back-office systems. The system was responsible for traffic operations within the cable facility, where traffic refers to placing advertising content within the programming. Commit implemented style guides from the company's graphic designers in the UI/UX, focusing largely on the user experience. They worked primarily on the frontend, providing requirements for the backend work, and also assisted with design and system architecture. The project, which lasted from 2016 to 2019, involved four companies and saw the source code increase from 3 million to 5 million lines.
Commit partnered with Retrack Data Solutions to develop a mobile app aimed at helping mall managers and tenants compete with online commerce. The app, MallUP, was designed to revolutionize the consumer shopping experience by digitizing malls, making their direct marketing to consumers more effective and allowing for consistent availability. The team at Commit designed and programmed every aspect of the app, managing and delivering each component on schedule and within budget. The project required a range of competencies including programming, communication, third-party integration, and mobile technologies.
A Commercial Insurance startup enlisted the services of Commit to build an MVP for a complex Insurance workflow platform. The platform was designed to bring together numerous backend services into a single easy-to-use interface. Commit provided a UI/UX design team for the initial design thinking, working within Adobe XD and Miro. They then brought on frontend engineers to work with the startup's internal backend team, primarily using JavaScript (React). The team from Commit, which included three frontend engineers and one QA, stood out for their broad range of skillsets, multiple teams in different geographic locations, and high level of engagement.
