Cogent Labs

Cogent Labs provided software development support for IDEMS International, a not-for-profit research company. The project involved the development of a Wagtail/Django website structure, with a focus on backend support and some front-end design work. The team implemented features such as quizzes, surveys, language translation, commenting system, and chatbot, all of which had to be accessible on low-end devices. The successful collaboration led to the expansion of the team from one lead developer and team manager to two additional front-end developers.

For a B2B marketplace catering to a specific vertical for developing countries, Cogent Labs developed a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to gather customer feedback. The project scope included translating product requirements into an easy-to-use UI, developing marketplace features such as notifications, quotation system, messaging platform, and an admin platform. The team used Python, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript for the project. Four core team members, including a project manager, a designer, and two developers, worked on the project.

In another project, Cogent Labs developed a native Android app for Trella, an IT company. The team designed the UI based on the provided UX flow, developed the app, and created a data warehouse on Redash. The app allows customers to invite vendors, set pricing, and monitor shipment data. The team continues to provide ongoing maintenance and support for the app. The project lead was the CEO of Cogent Labs, and the team also included a software developer and a UI/UX designer.
