Codium S.A. was hired by a non-profit organization from UC Berkeley to develop a digital platform for participatory democracy. Despite having limited funding and resources, Codium S.A. was able to take the initial prototypes and develop both the backend and frontend components of the platform to a more usable version for real-life use in the City of Vallejo. Most of the time, only one developer was working with the organization, though occasionally this increased to two or three developers. The project was mainly managed by the lead Design Researcher and Engineer of the organization.
In a separate project, Codium S.A. was employed by an Agritech company, BIZBUD, to aid in mobile app development for the cannabis industry. BIZBUD's internal team oversaw design, structure, mathematics, and product backlog functionalities, while Codium S.A. provided developers to create the software. Codium S.A. offered a flexible staffing solution, providing resources as needed and adjusting their working hours depending on the task. They also provided a part-time project manager to supervise their team. Since the start of their collaboration in March 2018, BIZBUD has spent $45,000 on the project.
