CodeBites was hired by a lecturer at the American University of Armenia to systematically integrate a vast and unstructured set of historical data onto a restricted access website. The data included 70,000 news articles, videos, images, PDFs, and other ASCII texts. CodeBites was selected for this project due to the lecturer's familiarity with one of the founders and confidence in their team's broad and specific skill sets. The project required a detailed understanding of relational databases, big data, and web design. The CodeBites team developed a solution that was easily transportable across operating systems, initially targeting CentOS Linux. Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, the final product was successfully installed remotely. The solution has been performing flawlessly for nearly a year, even after a swift transition to Ubuntu due to CentOS Linux's unfortunate status. The lecturer worked closely with two engineers from CodeBites throughout the project.
