Highlights from Recent Projects
CloudDrove was hired by Thriftify.ie, an e-commerce platform for charity retail, to undertake an AWS migration project. The goal was to leverage AWS technologies to enhance the scalability and availability of the platform, which is used by thousands of shops in Ireland and the UK. CloudDrove was selected for their ability to provide 24/7 support through their multi-continental engineering teams. The project involved various discovery meetings which helped CloudDrove to design a robust, highly available and fault-tolerant architecture. The team comprised of a project manager, an AWS solution architect, AWS engineers, and a support manager.
Sweetspot AB, a Swedish startup developing solutions for the golf industry, engaged CloudDrove to set up an AWS Cloud Infrastructure based on Kubernetes, Spot Instances, and Docker containers. CloudDrove was recommended by another company who had a positive experience working with them. The project involved developing DEV and TEST environments using a simple Jenkins setup and application wrapped into Docker containers. As the team continued development and testing, work began on the PROD environment. Eventually, the DEV and TEST environments were moved into the Kubernetes cluster along with AWS spot instances, resulting in more powerful and cost-effective environments. Two senior DevOps from CloudDrove were involved in this project.
CloudDrove was contracted by a digital health company to replace its existing cloud-based infrastructure with a secure, scalable, and SOC 2 Type II compliant architecture. The company's CEO found CloudDrove's director, Anmol, on Upwork and was impressed by his extensive experience with AWS. CloudDrove was responsible for the cloud infrastructure and IT operations for the platform. The engagement began in June 2020 and is ongoing. Anmol, as the Director of Security, is responsible for the entire cloud infrastructure stack.
