CityState Creative undertook a rebranding project for a cannabis company preparing for a launch in California. The task involved updating the brand across all public-facing channels, including packaging, collateral, and website, with a goal to maintain the original brand voice while adding sophistication. The team started with a brand strategy that led to a redesign of all packaging, art directed all product photography, and created an updated template for the client's bar, topicals, and concentrate packaging. They also designed wireframes for the website and built out a WordPress site that the client could update independently. The client praised CityState Creative for their strong design, digital, and packaging experience, as well as their ability to project premium brands with photography, art direction, and consistency.

CityState Creative was hired by Northeast Farm Access, a community agriculture organization, to help put together various publications. The goal was to present all the work the organization had done over the past five years to current and future investors. CityState Creative helped put together a 64-page Five Year Report and two fundraising brochures for Agricultural Centers the client was looking to establish. The report told the stories of the farmers who worked at the agricultural centers created by the organization in the past five years, complete with photos and financial charts. The client chose CityState Creative for their versatility and the social-value aspect of their business.

Weekenders Cannabis hired CityState Creative to develop their concept and bring it to life with a full brand identity, website, and packaging design. The goal was to create a distinct and memorable brand and compelling packaging design that would shift the perspective and conversation about how cannabis is viewed in the marketplace. The brand identity was also aimed to be approachable and welcoming towards women, while not exclusively for a female audience. The client praised CityState Creative for their strong connection between strategy and creativity, deep knowledge of the cannabis industry, and appreciation of the culture. The project began with an interactive discovery session, followed by a presentation of a competitive audit, and the production of the creative brief. The development of the website and other creative material followed, going through revisions until the final designs were agreed upon.
