Certified CIO

Certified CIO successfully assisted a multi-company corporation that was under a ransomware attack. The company's server was not properly backed up by their previous IT provider, causing a shutdown. Certified CIO was hired during this crisis and quickly formulated a plan to get the company back up and running. The team, led by Steve Plumblee and Ken Taylor, worked tirelessly and had the company operational in a short time. Despite the server being damaged beyond repair, Certified CIO provided a loaner to help the company get back on its feet.

The company also helped SPM Marketing and Communications, a healthcare marketing agency, integrate their IT functions as they brought in several new companies. Certified CIO set up Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Microsoft Teams, for the agency, moving all companies to the same instance for better communication and collaboration. They also produced a training manual for the teams. The project, which started in March 2022, is ongoing and has so far cost around $50,000.

In another project, Certified CIO was hired by an insurance agency to migrate their physical server to the cloud as it was nearing the end of its life. The Certified CIO team, who had been handling the agency's managed IT services for over a year, met with the agency's owner and project manager to decide whether to get a new physical server or move to the cloud. They decided on the latter to keep the system up to date and make the firm more nimble. The next steps were to upgrade the outdated hardware, including the firewall and switches, and begin the cloud migration.
