Highlights from Recent Projects
CAL Business Solutions partnered with a regional automotive retailer to update their outdated accounting system. The retailer, the largest independent tire retailer in New England, sought to transition from their old system to Microsoft Dynamics GP. CAL Business Solutions was instrumental in setting up the new system, writing custom software, and procuring add-ons, including a multi-entity management add-on from Binary Stream, which allowed all the retailer's branches to be managed under one GP company. The project, which cost less than $100,000, is still ongoing but is expected to be fully operational in two to three years.
The company also worked with a medical products firm to upgrade their Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and ERP software from the 2010 version to the 2013 R2 version. CAL Business Solutions remotely upgraded the database, provided end-user and administrator training, and guided the firm through the go-live process. They built custom fields and logic in the background, and integrated the new software with other applications, including Dynamics CRM 4.0, SalesPad, and Star Ship by V-Technologies. The project cost around $15,000 and was completed recently.
CAL Business Solutions was hired by Lifeway Mobility, an accessibility solutions provider, to implement a unified ERP solution. The company helped Lifeway Mobility select Acumatica as their ERP solution, and then coordinated customizations, software development, training, and ongoing support. They also assisted in rolling out Acumatica to different branch offices of Lifeway Mobility. The project, which began in December 2018, is ongoing and has cost between $75,000 and $100,000.
