Highlights from Recent Projects
CADmechXR was hired by a startup project focused on mental health to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a VR platform. The platform, which was selected for the Forbes 30 under 30 conference in 2019, was created to provide a demo of the user experience. CADmechXR's team, though small, was able to effectively capture the client's vision, record 360 videos, and create an MVP that the client was very pleased with. The client felt heard and appreciated the solutions and alternatives provided by the lead. The smooth process during the MVP development led the client to consider further development of the app with CADmechXR.
CADmechXR was also hired by a tier 1 automotive supplier, Mitchell Plastics, to create a proof of concept (POC) with AR and VR solutions. The goal was to simplify the process of choosing decorative finishes for plastic automotive interior components and to provide AR training for machine operators and injection mold technicians. CADmechXR developed two projects: an AR marketing tool that digitally imposed finishes on physical parts and a VR training tool for onboarding new operators. The AR tool resulted in a photorealistic representation of the final finished part, enabling a more rapid and simplified way to visualize different material finishes. The VR training tool improved the training process and ensured a safe and efficient workplace. The client appreciated the minimal guidance required and the timely completion of both projects.
