C42 Engineering was contracted by Flipkart, India's leading e-commerce marketplace, to assist in rewriting the code for their entire supply chain management system. The Principal Architect at Flipkart, who had previous professional ties with the founders of C42 Engineering, selected them as one of three consulting partners for the project. C42 Engineering provided a consultant for each of the five small teams, consisting of four to six developers, to assist in all aspects of development, design, testing, and deployment. The project, which commenced due to the need for a technology partner to augment Flipkart's internal development team and to propagate best practices around the use of Ruby and agile practices, was successfully completed in August 2012.
