BuildThis

BuildThis worked on the MVP development for HangarA, a logistics platform. As the project manager for HangarA, the focus was to create a product that would facilitate seamless shipping for air cargo shippers. BuildThis, led by Hans Skillrud, developed a technology solution that was akin to Kayak, Expedia, and Travelocity, but specifically for cargo shipping. The platform had multiple features including a search tool, real-time flight information access, and rate and surcharge tables based on airline information. The backend was created to handle hundreds of users simultaneously, offering a smooth user experience. The project was deemed successful.

In a collaboration with RoboToaster, BuildThis was hired to redesign an external blog. RoboToaster was seeking a long-term partner to split projects where RoboToaster would handle the design and BuildThis would handle development. The blog was built on WordPress and BuildThis was responsible for developing a design that would enhance aesthetics, and provide a superior back end experience for the client. The project started with wireframes and static mockups. Once approved, BuildThis converted them into a template and applied the updated design to the existing content. The end result was a standard yet effective blog with well-executed features.

BuildThis was also hired by Digital Avengers, a digital marketing agency, for same-day site development. The founder of Digital Avengers had previously worked with BuildThis for two of his clients and decided to hire them for his own project. BuildThis stripped down the existing website and started from scratch, creating a new site in WordPress. They consulted on themes, design, and other aspects. The team comprised of two developers and the final result matched the look and feel that the client had envisioned.
