Highlights from Recent Projects
Brightec worked with Virgin Red, a loyalty company, to develop a frontend application for their train ticketing system. The project was initiated with a six-week discovery phase where Brightec studied the product and its complexities. The company built a complex train ticketing app with the collaborative efforts of different service providers. The app, which is Android- and iOS-friendly, includes user-specific functionalities to improve user experience, particularly the booking flow. The project ran from August 2020 to May 2021. Brightec is currently working with Virgin Red on another project.
In a project with IFIS Publishing, Brightec was tasked with creating new products from the data held in the client's database. The team analyzed the data and similar products before starting their UX/UI design work. They contributed to the data formats, performed data cleanup, and built mockups for different products and UI functions. They also built the app and did some backend work to create tables that display graphs. The web app is now live and available to IFIS Publishing's customers. The engagement started in July 2020 and is still ongoing.
Brightec was hired by an engineering consultancy company to develop a solution to improve emissions from existing vehicles on the road. The solution involved an OBD reader and a smartphone app developed by Brightec for Android and iOS. The app communicates data from the vehicle while it moves, packages data, and sends it to a cloud server. The project, which ran from August 2021 to March 2022, was successful with a fleet trial conducted for a month. The client spent approximately £120,000–£130,000 on the project.
