Highlights from Recent Projects
BJSS was hired by a major European media company to provide team augmentation for a demanding project that involved tracking and calculating live soccer scores. The project, which was built on both web and mobile platforms, demanded significant experience with high-volume data transactions. The BJSS team was primarily composed of senior developers and architects who augmented the existing teams of the media company. The project cost over $1 million over the course of two years and resulted in the successful development of an in-house content management system to replace an old legacy system.
For a major IT solutions firm, BJSS was tasked with creating a platform that could receive and process real-time trading data and periodic batched data for analysis and compliance purposes. The platform, based on Apache Hadoop software, was built from scratch by BJSS who provided everything from software architecture and visual design to functional development, quality assurance, and project management. The project, which cost between $1 to $5 million, has been ongoing for 18 months and follows an agile development process, a specialty of BJSS.
BJSS worked with UK grocer Waitrose to improve their software development capabilities and modernize their systems. The first project involved the use of handheld terminals for inventory checks, price changes, and markdowns in the grocery store. BJSS also helped improve the company's e-commerce platform and worked on creating a personalized customer offer engine as part of a new market proposition. The initiative cost approximately $3.1 million over the course of 12 months.
