BASIC was enlisted by a premium accessories company in Southern California to redesign their website with a strong focus on the path to purchase. The project targeted user experience, aiming to design a product that was easy to navigate no matter the entry point. The redesign also included user-generated content and user profiling tools to better target customers based on their preferences and interactions on the site. The scope of BASIC's work encapsulated the entire design of the website, from setting up the information architecture to detailing how animations should play out. Although initially tasked with some of the front-end development, this role was shifted due to coding environment conflicts, and BASIC subsequently focused solely on design. The project took seven months, commencing in March and launching in October. The client commended BASIC for their project management skills, their ability to integrate design and technology, and their understanding of the brand.
