Backroom was hired by a nonprofit organization in New Hampshire to manage their social media marketing initiatives. The organization, which advocates for equitable funding in the public education system, had a staffing gap in their communications role. Backroom stepped in to manage the organization's Facebook and Instagram accounts, set up the Facebook ad account, and draft social media posts and newsletters. They also developed an onboarding plan for the new communications hire, created branded templates, and social media graphics. The project spanned from March to June 2022 and cost around $10,000. The client expressed satisfaction with Backroom's services, which they continue to utilize even after the project's completion.

In another project, Backroom was tasked with rebranding Chalk + Chisel, an interactive agency that builds installations and web and mobile apps. The agency felt its brand name did not accurately represent its services and evolution, leading to a comprehensive rebranding effort. Backroom conducted interviews with team members and top clients, performed a competitor audit, and provided a new company name. They also delivered a full brand identity suite, including a new logo, color scheme, and fonts, along with a voice and tone guide. The project, which ran from November 2014 to February 2015, cost between $30,000 and $40,000. Backroom's efforts successfully re-engaged the agency's internal team and attracted new customers.

Lastly, Backroom was hired by MAKA Media, a children's media company, to develop their brand identity and design a pitch deck for a pre-seed round. Backroom was chosen due to their cultural fit, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the company's values. They created the company's name, wordmark, color palette, and typeface, conducted a brand vision exercise, and developed a content framework for the pitch deck and webpage. They also designed an investor-ready pitch deck, leave-behind, and single-page website. The client was pleased with the deliverables, which included two rounds of revisions.
