Highlights from Recent Projects
Axess Lab was engaged by Iris, an education company that coaches people with disabilities to secure employment, to develop a web app for a job matching platform. The app was built from scratch with a focus on making it as accessible as possible for people with disabilities. The app uses videos, photos, and text to describe job opportunities, eliminating the need for traditional CVs or paperwork. The project was coordinated through a project manager who liaised with the developers. The project, which started in May 2017, is ongoing with a project cost of approximately $110,400 USD.
In another project, Axess Lab was hired by Instant Advisor, a company that offers a digital tutor tool for managing employees with super skills. The project involved the development and testing of a prototype to understand the needs and demands of employers, employees, and coaches. The project involved conducting interviews with various experts, HR managers, and researchers. The information gathered from these interviews was used to develop the prototype which was then tested on a select group of users. Axess Lab provided all the technical project management, UX development, and testing, and also produced a short animated video. The project team included a project leader and a UX designer from Axess Lab.
