Avantgarde Labs

Avantgarde Labs was hired by 4D Energy to develop an AI-based trading system for the European Power Exchange. The system was designed to be autonomous and highly available, with full integration with one of the four transmission system operators in Germany. The team at Avantgarde Labs, consisting of two full-time software developers, four managing directors, and a master's student, designed and developed the algorithm for the trading system. The project started with testing and understanding the market and communication with the market, and ended with a strategy that would generate revenue. Various technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Vaadin, and Mongo DB were used in the project. The client chose Avantgarde Labs for their skills, abilities, and knowledge of digital markets.

In another project, Avantgarde Labs was hired by Paessler AG to replace its monolithic B2B shop system for selling PRTG software licenses with a new eCommerce platform based on microservices. The old system was based on an outdated tech stack and limited the possibilities for further business development. The new eCommerce platform was designed to be adaptable and efficient, with separate modules for licensing, product activation, search, administration, and communication. The team from Avantgarde Labs, which consisted of four developers and two architects, was chosen for their experience and expertise in requirements elicitation, architecture design, and tech stack selection. The project was successful and met the client's expectations.
