Highlights from Recent Projects
Atomic was hired by an event management company to develop a three-part software system that included a web-based platform, a dashboard for event management, and native mobile apps for iOS and Android. The company had identified a gap in the market for quality incident management software and selected Atomic to fill this void. The system architecture was designed to handle thousands of logins at different times throughout the week, and an auto-scaling feature was developed to ensure optimal server performance and cost. The team consisted of 12-15 people, including three account managers, a technical director, and several code builders. The work began in October 2017 and is still ongoing.
In another project, Atomic partnered with Youth Sports Trust, a charity in England, to develop a performance parent app for iOS and Android. The app was designed to provide parents of talented young athletes with education and tools to help them navigate the challenges of parenting young athletes. Atomic also helped the charity build its internal knowledge and develop marketing materials, including brand imagery, infographics, and promotional collateral. The project, which began in June 2019, was completed in two months, and the charity plans to continue working with Atomic on this and other apps.
Atomic was also hired by an industrial equipment company to design, create, and deploy a mobile app that would connect to an industrial device using a proprietary communications protocol over Bluetooth. The app was also to be integrated with existing e-Commerce and CRM APIs. The team of 6-10 employees also developed an interactive troubleshooting process to assist users of the industrial device. The project was completed successfully, and the company was pleased with Atomic's work.
