Apex Lab

Apex Lab was hired by Recart, an e-commerce marketing automation company, to develop a custom software solution. The initial idea was to win-back customers through email marketing, but after several iterations, the team pivoted to using Facebook Messenger, which proved to be a success. The product, a SaaS using Node.js, microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and React, connects to the webshop through a plugin and gives the user a dashboard view to analyze abandonment rate, campaigns’ success, revenue increase, etc. The Apex Lab team, led by a CTO/Tech Lead, worked closely with Recart throughout the product development, enabling quick iterations and pivots.

Apex Lab was engaged by a made-on-demand marketplace company to build a B2B marketplace to service the industry. The goal was to build a multi-vendor, open marketplace model that allowed approved suppliers to onboard their products in a self-service format. The marketplace, built on Vendure, an open-source headless e-commerce system, included features like EasyPost API for the shipping system, Stripe Connect for marketplace payments, and Media Modifier mockup API for mockup generation. The project was a success with supplier self-service enabled in weeks and the merchant dashboard implemented quickly.

DogGo, a social app for dogs and their owners, partnered with Apex Lab for mobile app development. The project began with a review of the specification document and defining the MVP’s scope. Apex Lab built a cross-platform React Native app with Expo, using Typescript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Ably, and added Streamchat integration for chat functionality. After user testing and feedback, the app was launched on Google Play and Apple Store, generating users instantly as dog owners started to download and use the app right after the launch. Apex Lab continued to manage bug fixing and other technical issues after the launch.
